Spotlight: Dropped to 5f and sporting blinkers for the first time he produced an impressive display at Newcastle 13 days ago, travelling strongly and looking a cut above Class 6 level; up 6lb against stronger opposition this time but could well have more to offer at the trip.

Spotlight: It has been a disappointing campaign in 2025 but his one visit to this track saw him finish third off a 10lb higher mark in May; latest Chelmsford sixth (blinkered first time), where he was poorly positioned and came wide in the straight, was more encouraging than the bare figures, running the final 2f faster than all bar the cosy winner (just 0.02s slower at that); more appealing than most.

Spotlight: Not at best in either AW start for Andrew Balding but he wasn't in much form at the time; that's not the case now, coming here on the back of a game win at Catterick 12 days ago; still has handicapping scope and he's one to consider.

Spotlight: Not so good as he was but that is reflected in his mark and he's enjoying a revival this year, winning handicaps at Doncaster (5f, good to firm) and Catterick (6f, good) either side of two narrow defeats; his C&D win came in the Fibresand era but this surface shouldn't be an issue.

Spotlight: C&D winner on debut; he added a Musselburgh nursery last summer and a Leicester handicap in June (both 5f, good to firm); in and out since but returning to AW won't be a problem and Warren Fentiman takes off a useful 5lb; chance.

Spotlight: Well treated on last winter's AW form, including a C&D success off 1lb higher; slow start to 2025 but his last two runs have threatened better, finishing behind Equity Law at Catterick 12 days ago but faring best of those coming from off the pace; could do with being more smartly away but he's still high on the list.

Spotlight: 4lb lower than for his Musselburgh win in the spring and he was a good second off this mark at Beverley last month; not in quite the same form at Haydock 16 days ago but he is fully effective over C&D and his only other run in Class 5 company was a win 12 months ago.

Spotlight: All ten runs over 5f on AW, winning a novice and a Class 5 handicap at Chelmsford; cheekpieces didn't have a positive effect back at Chelmsford last month though and others are more appealing; first run at Southwell.

Spotlight: Three 5f wins on Tapeta, the latest over C&D in March off 4lb lower; down the field over 6f here on last month's return from four months off; addition of a hood not enough to tempt today.

Spotlight: C&D winner; mainly held his form since his Leicester success in June and Rossa Ryan replaces a 7lb claimer today; not ruled out.
